Each Harris Tweed coat has a fitted and shaped back panel, lined with polar fleece.

'2-strap' - The straps across the chest and stomach are separate. The stomach strap attaches under the back panel.

These can either be in the same material as the back, or in a contrasting colour. They are also lined with polar fleece and joined to the back panel by 4 buttons - 2 on the chest strap and 2 on the stomach strap.

Each dog coat is made to measure, which means a couple of fittings is needed to ensure measurements can be taken and final placement of the buttons/fixtures are right. If your dog wears a harness, a feature can be added to allow easy access, as in the photos shown. 

A pattern is made for each coat and then the chosen Harris Tweed, coordinating polar fleece, buttons and bias binding assembled into the final coat.

For mail order coats, as fittings are not possible, you will receive a calico pattern from the measurements to test that the fit is correct before cutting out the Harris tweed.

Care

The Harris Tweed is treated with Scotchgard  to protect against stains and makes it easier to clean and keep clean.
